The
Adirondack Park Pet Hospital and The Animal Clinic of Malone are
two inter-related small animal veterinary practices operated by
Dr. Stu Stevens, a kind, caring, and skilled veterinarian and
his competent staff in Saranac Lake and Malone. We see dogs,
cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, hamsters, and
iguanas, snakes, and turtles. We offer state of the art
veterinary medical and surgical care combined with compassion
and professionalism.
We understand that your pets are important members of your
family and your life and want you to have options in choosing
your pet’s health care. We give you those options. At The
Adirondack Park Pet Hospital and The Animal Clinic of Malone, we
believe that a small mom and pop veterinary hospital can still
deliver big on medical and surgical services. And because we
know our patients well, we
offer better and more individualized veterinary care.
Both The Adirondack Park Pet Hospital and The Animal Clinic of
Malone are self sufficient facilities with separate staffs ready
to help you and your pets. Each practice offers examinations,
hospitalization, blood testing, radiology, abdominal ultrasound,
fecal and urine testing, anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry. We
are wellness and early disease detection oriented practices. It
is much easier to keep your pet healthy with semi-annual visits
than it is to try to bring your pet back from a protracted,
debilitating illness. Because of this, we recommend regular
blood testing to detect problems early and treat them
proactively.
Like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, we think that, for
your pet, there’s no place like home. We try to send your pet
home the same day for most medical and surgical cases because
that’s where they feel most comfortable and will recover more
quickly and with less stress.
When it comes to training, Dr. Stevens feels EXPERIENCE MATTERS!
Dr. Stu Stevens has 33 years of veterinary experience
diagnosing, treating, and prognosing the medical and surgical
problems of your pet or pets. Dr. Stevens graduated from the
Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1980 and has
seen over 3000 animals a year for the past 33 years. In
addition, Dr. Stevens
takes over 100 hours of continuing education courses a
year to upgrade and stay current on his skills.
Our staff includes our office manager Donna Stevens, a wonderful
and caring person who loves pets and has been there every step
of the way at the veterinary hospital. Dr. Stevens is proud to
have her as his wife and lifelong companion.
Our receptionist in Saranac Lake is Jenda and our animal health
assistant is Jamie. In our Malone office, our receptionist is
Betty and our veterinary technicians are Rachel and Shila. They are there to
help you and your pets.
Both practices work on an appointment basis—call ahead for an
appointment. 891-3260 Saranac Lake and 483-9080 Malone. You can
